How to use a backflow incense cones burner
- Choose the correct location: Place your backflow incense burner away from drafts. The cascading smoke is delicate and easily disrupted by wind or strong air currents. A stable, flat surface is also essential to prevent the burner from tipping over
- Select backflow incense cones: Backflow incense burners require special incense cones with a hole drilled through the centre. These cones are designed to allow the smoke to flow downwards
- Prepare the burner: Before lighting the incense cone, make sure the burner is clean and free of any residue from previous use
- Light the incense cone: Hold the tip of the incense cone over a flame (candle, lighter, or match) until it catches fire. Allow the cone to burn for 10-15 seconds, then gently blow out the flame. The tip of the cone should be glowing and producing smoke
- Place the cone on the burner: Carefully place the lit cone on the designated spot. Ensure that the hole in the cone aligns with the hole on the burner
- Observe the smoke flow: After a few moments, you should see the smoke flow downwards, creating the waterfall effect. This process may take a minute or two to establish fully, so be patient. The smoke will cascade down the burner, creating a visually stunning display
- Monitor and maintain: Monitor the burner while it is in use. Ensure that the smoke flows correctly and that the cone burns evenly. If the smoke flow weakens or stops, gently reposition the cone to ensure proper alignment
- Extinguish and clean: Once the incense cone has burned out, allow the burner to cool completely before handling it. The burner may be hot to the touch immediately after use. Once cooled, clean the burner to remove any residue or ash. Use a soft cloth or brush to wipe away the debris gently. Regular cleaning helps maintain the burner’s appearance and functionality
